UI/UX Developer
1.0 Description of Assignment
Working under the supervision of the Manager, Application Portfolios, the UI/UX Developer will be responsible for implementing the approved website redesign and building new customer-facing digital experiences for the client's Digital Customer Experience team.
The client has engaged a vendor to complete the Discovery and Definition phases of the website redesign, delivering evaluation findings, design recommendations, and annotated wireframes and mockups. The contractor will own the implementation: translating the approved designs into production-ready, accessible front-end code within the client's existing technical environment, including the Sitecore content management system. Backend system and infrastructure changes are out of scope.
In parallel, the resource will design and build a responsive web application displaying next-arrival predictions and service alerts across form factors, including large-format and kiosk displays such as suspended screens at transit stops. Each display browses to a URL carrying a stop code, and the page renders that stop's real-time arrivals and alerts. This is a client-led initiative outside the vendor's scope.
This assignment will require the incumbent to work onsite 2-3 days per week at a downtown location and other locations in the region as required under the client's hybrid work policy.
