About Tuvo™

Tuvo™ is a Calgary-made dating app for adults 18+ that gets people off the app and onto a real date, meeting about halfway between two people at a public partner spot. Meet halfway.

We’re early-stage and looking for a Calgary-based contractor to help sign our first partner spots: cafés, bars, climbing gyms, arcades and other public places to meet.

Please note: This is an independent contractor role, paid by commission only. It is not an employee position. There is no salary, hourly wage or benefits.

What you’ll do

• Choose Calgary venues you think are a good fit for Tuvo™ and pitch them
• Explain how being a partner spot can bring new people through their door
• Send signed partner details to the founder so the spot can go live in the app
• Share feedback from venues so the pitch keeps improving

Requirements

• A diploma or degree in business, marketing, hospitality, communications or a related field, or 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, hospitality or events
• Able to show proof of your experience (a reference, LinkedIn history or examples of partnerships or deals you’ve closed)
• Comfortable pitching in person to business owners and managers
• Able to travel to venues across Calgary
• Your own phone and the tools you need to do the work
• 18 or older, and legally able to work in Canada

Nice to have

• Existing contacts at Calgary cafés, bars or venues
• Startup or commission-based sales experience

Pay (commission only)

• $10 per partner spot that signs and goes live in the Tuvo™ app
• If Tuvo™ introduces paid partner plans in the future, you’ll also earn 10% of what each spot you signed pays in its first 12 months
• Paid monthly by e-Transfer after you send an invoice
• You’re responsible for your own taxes (and GST, if you’re registered)

How it works

• Starts with a 30-day trial under a written contractor agreement; either side can end it
