As a Customer Service Technician you will work as part of a supportive team to be the face of U-Haul’s exceptional service, ensuring customers get all the help they need on their journeys.

Customer Service Technician Responsibilities:

Assist customers inside and outside U-Haul Center with U-Haul products & services
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot including checking fluid levels
Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services
Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental

Customer Service Technician Minimum Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of remaining stationary, moving around an office and occasionally outdoors, positioning oneself to reach objects at varying heights, and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.

Responsabilités des techniciens pour le service à la clientèle :

Aider les clients tant à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur du Centre U-Haul avec les produits et services U-Haul
Utiliser la technologie uScan sur téléphone intelligent pour gérer les locations et l’inventaire.
Déplacer et attacher les camions et les remorques U-Haul.
Nettoyer et inspecter l’équipement sur le terrain, y compris vérifier les niveaux de liquide.
Répondre aux questions des clients et les renseigner sur les produits et services.
Préparer les factures de location et recevoir l’équipement retourné de locations.

Qualifications minimales pour les techniciens pour le service à la clientèle :

Un permis de conduire valide ainsi que la capacité de garder un bon dossier de conducteur.
Un diplôme d’études secondaires ou l’équivalent.

Milieu de travail :
Ce travail implique des risques modérés ou des risques de malaises qui nécessitent des mesures de sécurité spéciales, p. ex. travailler en présence de pièces en mouvement, de machines, d’émanations ou de produits chimiques irritants. On pourra donc exiger le port de vêtements ou d’équipement de protection individuelle comme des masques, des lunettes, des gants ou des écrans faciaux.

Exigences physiques :
Ce travail requiert des actions comportant de l’effort physique comme rester sur place autant à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur pendant de longues périodes de temps, parcourir des espaces ainsi que se repositionner pour atteindre et utiliser des outils. Il faut aussi pouvoir déplacer de l’équipement pesant un minimum de 23 kg (50 lb) avec ou sans aide.
