The Team

The Marketing Team Leads Marketing Activities Across UBCPT, Including Support For Its Two Property Management Divisions. UBCPT’s Diverse Work At The Point Grey And Okanagan Campuses Requires a Collaborative And Responsive Team That Develops Marketing Strategies, Campaigns, And Assets In Support Of

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Creative Services Manager maintains and applies UBC Properties Trust’s brands and leads the production, governance, and delivery of branded creative assets across the organization. This hands-on role combines graphic design, creative project management, vendor coordination, digital asset stewardship, and brand governance. The successful candidate will be a skilled designer and trusted creative resource who ensures materials are accurate, consistent, high quality, and aligned with approved brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, production, procurement, and delivery of photography, videography, graphic design, and other branded assets in alignment with brand standards and marketing objectives.
Own and curate the organization’s creative asset library, ensuring assets are organized, accessible, current, properly archived, credited, and licensed.
Manage creative workflows from briefing and concept development through approval, delivery, archiving, and evaluation, ensuring projects meet requirements and brand standards.
Source, onboard, and manage photographers, videographers, designers, agencies, printers, sign fabricators, artists, and other creative service providers to secure quality, innovation, and value.
Design, adapt, and produce high-quality visual assets for digital, print, presentations, signage, leasing, environmental, and promotional applications, and provide brand oversight for externally produced work.
Serve as the organization’s visual brand steward by maintaining consistent use of approved identity systems, templates, assets, and guidelines across business units, and recommend refinements to the Director of Marketing as needs evolve.
Review, coordinate, and approve creative materials, commercial tenant signage, murals, wayfinding, environmental graphics, and other visual applications produced internally and externally to ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with brand and property objectives.
Partner with Marketing and other departments to prioritize creative needs, provide design and production guidance, and translate approved business and marketing objectives into effective visual communications.
Manage creative project budgets, estimates, contracts, licensing agreements, and vendor performance to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of creative initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated experience in graphic design, creative services, or visual communications, supported by a portfolio showing creative excellence, strong design fundamentals, brand stewardship, and varied work within established brand systems.
Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and Acrobat.
Strong understanding of graphic design, branding, photography, videography, print production, signage, environmental graphics, and digital asset management.
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, deadlines, and competing priorities with exceptional attention to detail.
Experience managing creative vendors, consultants, agencies, photographers, videographers, artists, and production partners.
Proven ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
