About The Role

As a Carrier Sales Representative, you are a key contributor to Uber Freight's business by generating and maintaining carrier relationships. You will be eligible to earn a monthly bonus, in addition to your base salary, in your first full calendar month and enjoy working in a fast-paced, sales environment. This position will be at our Oakville, ON office location, work schedule will be Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a hybrid work schedule after 90 days.

What The Candidate Will Do

Establish relationships, negotiate, and develop carriers regularly via phone and email in order to develop core and dedicated carriers specific to Uber Freights accounts
Participate in spot auctions by submitting competitive online pricing and securing capacity for won loads
Ensure customer satisfaction and high service levels where freight is picked up and delivered on time using safe, reliable carriers
Meet or exceed team financial and individual performance goals
Develop knowledge of carrier supply and demand, spot market pricing, and factors that impact freight markets
Carrier profile management- learn carrier requirements, needs, contacts and update carrier profiles regularly. Be an advocate for the carrier on all levels
Acquire knowledge of freight network/lanes- know what internal freight lanes we run and find carriers that match these lanes

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of experience in a carrier management or carrier sales position or related position.
High school diploma/GED Equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

3PL knowledge or prior experience within a 3PL environment/Freight Brokerage
Strong communication and organizational skills
Prior TMS experience
Prior Auction/Spot market experience.
Experience with multiple equipment modes, such as Van, Flatbed, Reefer etc.

Compensation: $62,200 - $82,000 base salary per year, plus eligibility for performance-based bonus.
