We are seeking an experienced and visionary Development Lead to drive the design, modernization, and delivery of high-performance enterprise application platforms. In this hands-on engineering and leadership role, you will lead a dedicated team of full-stack engineers in building scalable, secure, serverless solution architectures leveraging Angular on the front end and Node.js with AWS Serverless on the back end.
As a technical lead, you will bridge the gap between architecture, product strategy, and engineering execution - mentoring talent, driving engineering best practices, and ensuring robust platform delivery in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership & Delivery: Lead and mentor a team of full-stack developers through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in an agile framework.
- Architecture & Hands-On Engineering: Drive the design and development of modern cloud-native architectures using Node.js and AWS Serverless components, maintaining an ~80/20 balance between architecture/leadership and hands-on coding.
- Front-End Design: Oversee the development of responsive, scalable, and secure web applications using modern Angular versions, ensuring UI/UX consistency, performance optimization, and accessibility standards.
- Cloud & Serverless Architecture: Architect and maintain serverless backend microservices using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB/Aurora, and related AWS cloud technologies.
- Code Quality & Governance: Establish design patterns, code review guidelines, testing practices (unit/integration), and automated deployment processes (CI/CD pipelines).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, Security, and Enterprise Quality Assurance teams to align technical solutions with broader business goals.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Lead Experience: 3+ years of experience in a Technical Lead, Engineering Lead, or Senior/Principal Engineer role mentoring development teams and guiding architectural decisions.
- Front-End Mastery: 5+ years of hands-on experience building production enterprise applications using modern Angular (TypeScript, RxJS, State Management/NgRx).
- Back-End Expertise: Strong proficiency in Node.js for building asynchronous microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud integration layers.
- AWS Serverless Deep-Dive: Proven track record building and deploying serverless applications utilizing AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, Step Functions, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation/SAM/CDK.
- Database & Messaging: Solid experience with both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (AWS DynamoDB), along with event-driven architectures (SNS/SQS, EventBridge).
- DevOps & CI/CD: Hands-on knowledge of cloud deployment automation, CI/CD toolchains (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Nice-to-Have Skills
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer certification.
- Experience in regulated industries (financial services, banking, or insurance).
- Understanding of enterprise security standards, OAuth2/OIDC, and web application vulnerability hardening.
