Dynatrace SRE Engineer – AWS Development
Location: Scarborough, Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)
Hours: 40 hours per week
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Dynatrace (DT) SRE Engineer with AWS Development experience to support one of Canada's major banking institutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and managing Dynatrace observability solutions, combined with solid AWS development capabilities. This role will focus on application performance monitoring, infrastructure observability, incident management, troubleshooting, and supporting the reliability and performance of enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, administer, and maintain Dynatrace monitoring and observability solutions.
- Build and maintain Dynatrace dashboards, reports, and monitoring configurations.
- Monitor application performance, infrastructure health, and system availability.
- Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot application and infrastructure performance issues.
- Support incident response, problem management, and performance optimization initiatives.
- Develop, deploy, and support applications and services within AWS environments.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to SRE and DevOps practices, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on experience working with Dynatrace (DT).
- Strong expertise in Dynatrace implementation, configuration, administration, and monitoring.
- Experience building and maintaining Dynatrace dashboards, reporting, and observability solutions.
- Strong understanding of Application Performance Monitoring (APM), infrastructure monitoring, and root cause analysis.
- Hands-on AWS development experience, including developing, deploying, and supporting applications or services on AWS.
- Experience supporting incident response, troubleshooting, and performance optimization initiatives.
- Background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or Production Support within enterprise environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Full-stack development or software engineering background.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.
- Experience with automation, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines.

Implement and maintain Dynatrace observability solutions, dashboards, and monitoring configurations, while monitoring application and infrastructure performance and availability. Requirements
Requires 7+ years of hands-on Dynatrace experience, including implementation, administration, monitoring, dashboards, and reporting, along with strong APM and root cause analysis expertise. Candidates also need hands-on AWS development experience and an SRE, DevOps, or enterprise production support background; automation, scripting, CI/CD, cloud-native, and full-stack experience are advantageous.
