About the Opportunity

We are looking for a talented Senior AI Developer to join our team and support a major Canadian banking client in building innovative, AI-driven products and solutions.

This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on developer with a strong combination of Artificial Intelligence expertise and core software engineering capabilities.

We are looking beyond candidates who simply understand AI concepts or have experience experimenting with AI tools. We want someone who can actively design, develop, build, and implement technically complex AI-powered applications while contributing strong software development expertise.

The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of AI technologies alongside solid programming and application development experience. We are open to candidates from different programming language backgrounds, provided they demonstrate strong engineering fundamentals and practical development capabilities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and implement AI-powered applications and solutions.
• Build and integrate Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-driven capabilities into production applications.
• Develop and enhance backend services, APIs, and application components supporting AI solutions.
• Work with agentic AI, AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and related AI frameworks.
• Develop and deploy cloud-based applications and serverless solutions using AWS.
• Leverage AWS Lambda and other AWS services to build scalable and efficient applications.
• Integrate AI models and services with existing enterprise applications, platforms, and data sources.
• Apply software engineering best practices, including clean code, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end AI solutions.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of overall software development experience, with strong programming and software engineering fundamentals.
• 4+ years of hands-on AI development experience, particularly in building and implementing AI/ML or Generative AI solutions.
• Strong programming experience in Node.js and JavaScript, with Python, Java, or TypeScript also considered valuable.
• Practical experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI application development.
• Knowledge of RAG architectures, vector databases, AI agents, and agentic workflows.
• Strong experience developing and integrating REST APIs, backend services, and enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, particularly AWS Lambda and serverless application development.
• Experience with software development practices, application architecture, testing, debugging, and production deployments.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot, develop, and deliver technically complex solutions.
