The School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time tenure track-faculty position in Prosthodontics at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to develop a viable and productive research program, for which start-up funds will be available. The successful candidate must demonstrate an interest and aptitude for clinical and didactic teaching in Prosthodontics. Time allocation for private practice / Professional (Clinical) Practice will be integrated into this appointment.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to supervise graduate students and involve them in their program of research.
Qualifications
Applicants will have graduated from an accredited DDS/DMD specialty program and have relevant postgraduate and clinical qualifications in the specialty of prosthodontics or an equivalent level as specified by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) and be eligible for licensure with the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta (CDSA). Consideration will be given to applicants with a PhD degree and teaching experience in prosthodontics.
Applicants will have a record of, or potential for, scholarly contribution in the area of Prosthodontics, and evidence of ability to provide high-quality undergraduate and graduate-level teaching.
