Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility.
Job Description:
The Department of Medicine has a dedicated Vice Chair for equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA) with the aim of identifying and addressing equity gaps for faculty, trainees, and patients. This postdoctoral scholar position will partner with the Vice Chair of EDIA (Dr. Shannon Ruzycki) to design, conduct, analyze, and report multimethod research to describe EDIA and evaluate the impact of Departmental initiatives.
The ideal candidate will complete and/or design projects using the following methods:
- Surveys, including programming (Qualtrics), assessing reliability and validity, data cleaning, data analysis and reporting
- Environmental scans, including data visualization and reporting
- Interviews, including conducting and analyzing interview data
- Program evaluation
The successful candidate will be responsible for independently managing research-related tasks including applying for and maintaining research ethics board certification, writing reports and manuscripts, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and project design. The successful candidate must have demonstrable training or skills in anti-oppression principles (e.g., OCAP training, relevant coursework, professional expertise).
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant domain (Social Sciences, Political Sciences, Gender Studies, Health Services Research, Public Health or Community Health Science) and demonstrable experience in the qualitative and quantitative methods listed in the job description. Prior post-doctoral experience is an asset but is not required.
