This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a master’s degree in education, instructional design or a related discipline, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Knowledge of, or experience with, the principles and applied practice of instructional design and curriculum integration or mapping, especially in a post-secondary context.
Understanding of the best practices and principles of pedagogy, accessibility and digital and information literacy as they apply in a post-secondary context.
Experience with program assessment, including the design of assessment instruments, collection and analysis of assessment data, and communication of findings.
Experience creating effective, accessible instructional materials, including lesson plans and tutorials.
Experience with educational technology tools including learning management systems, online tutorial creation platforms, web authoring tools and digital exhibit platforms.
Understanding of key issues relating to academic integrity, especially as it relates to emerging technologies in a post-secondary context.
Proven project management and organizational expertise, with a record of meeting deadlines and producing high-quality deliverables.
Ability to collaborate, build and maintain positive relationships with diverse individuals and work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
Ability to effectively hire, manage and support term and casual student employees.
