In support of the overall goals of the ONECard office, a unit within the division of Student Affairs, the Clerk supports front counter services, including being keyholder, photograph and related ID services for the university's students, faculty, staff, retirees and community members and responsibility for ensuring each customer is provided the correct information on use and services available to them.
Reporting to the ONECard Manager, the ONECard clerk is responsible for trouble shooting and resolving situations related to card validation, account issues and access. As the primary point of contact for ONECard front counter services, the Clerk is designated team lead to all other casual clerks and will provide direction and coordination to their work, and oversees workflow.
Front counter service hours are established in accordance with operational requirements and to meet our community's needs. This includes extended hours, evenings or weekends during peak periods.

Specialized Knowledge/Education
- Knowledge of relevant retail and office administration software and equipment, including point of sale systems, information systems, financial software (e.g. FAST), general office equipment, MS office, Sharepoint, etc.
- Knowledge of the university's campus, facilities and operations including familiarity with UVic's website
- Good knowledge of FIPPA, Name changes, as well as general records management
- Knowledge of Student Meal Plans, ONECard Flex Accounts an asset
Experience
- At least two years of experience providing customer service, cash handling and general administration (including financial activities)
- Experience working as part of a team in a high volume, retail or service environment and acting as a team lead.
- Experience providing excellence customer service
Preference Will Be Given To Experience In
- Directing and coordinating the work and workflow of a team
- Using Blackboard Transact Platform, NCR cash register, ID Card printers (or equivalent). Banner, Fast, UID and be able to troubleshoot U-Pass issues
