About UNLOCKLAND

UNLOCKLAND builds AI-powered tools that help real estate and infrastructure professionals identify and evaluate development opportunities.

Our data centre module supports site screening and development assessment, helping customers organise location, land, planning and infrastructure information to make better-informed investment and development decisions.

We are hiring an Account Executive to develop our Canadian market and win customers for this module.

The Role

You will own the full sales cycle - from identifying target accounts and opening conversations to structuring paid pilots, negotiating contracts and closing business.

Your customers may include data centre developers and operators, infrastructure investors, landowners, utilities, engineering consultancies and economic development organisations.

This is a hands-on role working directly with the founders and product team. You should be able to build a pipeline independently, understand complex development requirements and turn an emerging product into a clear commercial proposition.

What You Will Do
  • Build and execute a Canadian account strategy for our data centre module.
  • Identify customers actively evaluating sites, expanding capacity or developing data centre projects.
  • Establish direct relationships with decision-makers in site selection, development, real estate, infrastructure, strategy and innovation.
  • Run discovery meetings to understand customer decisions, existing workflows, data requirements, budgets and procurement processes.
  • Work with our product team to demonstrate how the module addresses specific customer use cases.
  • Structure paid pilots and proofs of concept with agreed scope, success criteria, timelines and a path to a commercial contract.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate commercial terms and manage opportunities through contracting and payment.
  • Develop referral and partnership opportunities with relevant industry organisations and advisers.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity qualification and pipeline forecasts.
  • Bring market feedback into product priorities, positioning and pricing.
What We Are Looking For
  • A track record of winning new business in enterprise SaaS, data platforms, PropTech, infrastructure technology or related solutions.
  • Experience personally owning opportunities from prospecting through negotiation and close.
  • Direct relationships within the Canadian data centre ecosystem, particularly with developers, operators, infrastructure investors or site-selection teams.
  • An understanding of data centre development considerations, including power availability, utility connections, land and zoning, connectivity, cooling and development timelines.
  • Experience selling paid pilots or POCs and converting successful evaluations into commercial contracts.
  • The ability to build a qualified pipeline independently, without relying on an established inbound lead engine.
  • Confidence navigating technical evaluations, multiple stakeholders and enterprise procurement.
  • Professional fluency in English.
  • Based in Canada and available for customer meetings and travel across the market.
Especially Relevant Experience
  • Selling software or data solutions to data centre developers, operators, utilities or infrastructure investors.
  • Commercial experience with site selection, GIS, land intelligence, energy analytics or development feasibility.
  • Relationships with provincial or municipal investment attraction and economic development teams.
  • Experience establishing a new territory or selling an early-stage product.
  • Professional French proficiency for customer engagement in Québec.
What Success Looks Like

You build a qualified pipeline of customers with active development needs, close paid pilots and convert successful evaluations into ongoing contracts. You also help establish a repeatable sales approach for the Canadian market.
