Job Summary:

The Marketing Manager, Canada is responsible for the strategic management and annual profit and loss performance of assigned product portfolios. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Key Account Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Product Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Global Marketing, to drive business growth and achieve organizational objectives. The Marketing Manager provides market insights, strategic direction, and ongoing support to the sales organization to ensure successful execution of product strategies and attainment of revenue and profitability goals.

JOb Responsibilities:

60% - Portfolio Management & Commercial Execution

Develop and execute annual business and marketing plans for assigned product portfolios, including sales volume targets, pricing strategies, market positioning, and profitability objectives.
Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams to design and implement annual market programs that drive customer demand and support business growth.
Provide ongoing commercial and marketing support to the sales organization, fostering strong collaboration and alignment to achieve portfolio goals.
Lead advertising, communications, promotional, and public relations initiatives to support portfolio strategies and enhance brand presence.
Manage product forecasting and supply planning activities for assigned portfolios, ensuring accurate monthly demand forecasts and alignment with supply chain requirements.

25% - Strategic Planning & Market Analysis

Develop and maintain a rolling five-year strategic plan for assigned portfolios to achieve sales, market share, and profitability objectives.
Conduct market research, customer analysis, and competitive intelligence to identify emerging trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
Recommend pricing, positioning, and profitability strategies for existing and future products across targeted customer segments and markets.
Lead and manage approved projects through the organization's project management processes, ensuring timely execution and achievement of business objectives.

15% - Business Development & Innovation

Identify opportunities to expand existing product offerings and develop new product concepts through market analysis and customer insights.
Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to establish priorities, build business cases, and evaluate commercial viability of new opportunities.
Negotiate, manage, and maintain strategic agreements with third-party partners and suppliers.
Partner closely with Global Marketing and Product Development teams to align local market needs with broader business and innovation strategies.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· BA/BS degree in Agricultural Science, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field required.

Advanced degree (MBA or related discipline) is preferred.

· Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the agricultural chemical, crop protection, seed, fertilizer, or related agriculture industry.

· Demonstrated experience in product marketing, portfolio management, strategic planning, and commercial execution.

· Proven ability to develop and execute business plans that drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability.

· Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Product Development.

TRAVEL: 40-50% of time on the job
