Job Summary
This position performs the coupling and uncoupling of tractor trailers. This position moves and maneuvers tractor trailer equipment into position for the tractor trailer and package handling operations. This position may include other work as directed.
Responsibilities
- This position performs the coupling and uncoupling of tractor trailers.
- This position moves and maneuvers tractor trailer equipment into position for the tractor trailer and package handling operations.
- This position requires safety pre and post trip of equipment for safe operations as per trained methods
- Requires the use of safety proscribed methods when around the equipment as well as when operating the equipment.
- Following proper driving methods per company methods.
- This position may include other work as directed.
- Reports any malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Requires the use of technology to perform job functions and communicate with dispatch.
Qualifications
- Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle
- Knowledge of package handling principles
- High school diploma, GED, or International equivalent
- 2 years' experience driving vehicles - Preferred

Couple and uncouple tractor trailers, and move and position equipment for tractor-trailer and package-handling operations. Perform safety inspections, follow safe operating and driving procedures, report malfunctions, and use technology to communicate with dispatch.
Requirements
Applicants must meet local age and operating requirements, understand package-handling principles, and have a high school diploma, GED, or international equivalent. Two years of vehicle-driving experience is preferred.
