Job Title: Forklift Operator
Company: Timber-Tech Building Solutions
Location: Balzac, AB
Timber-Tech Building Solutions is a Canadian company that builds quality walls and floors for residential construction in our prefabrication shop. We provide a positive work environment for our employees and excellent value for our customers. Timber-Tech Building Solutions is looking to hire a Forklift Operator to work in our shop based in Balzac, AB. The position will report directly to the Shop Manager.
Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate various forklifts to move materials and products within the prefabrication shop.

Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas using the forklift.

Transport materials to designated work areas or storage locations.

Stack and organize materials in an efficient and orderly manner.

Inspect and maintain forklift equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials.

Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow.

Pick lumber for orders/shop.
Pay is based on qualifications and experience.
Qualifications:
-
Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain certification.

Prior experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or construction environment preferred.

Knowledge of safety procedures and practices related to forklift operation.

Ability to operate forklifts safely in various weather and environmental conditions.
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions.
-
Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in an industrial setting.
-
Ability to do heavy lifting and prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
-
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Requirements
Forklift certification is required, or the candidate must be willing to obtain it; prior forklift experience in a warehouse or construction setting is preferred. Candidates should understand forklift safety, follow instructions accurately, communicate and collaborate effectively, and be able to perform heavy lifting and prolonged sitting and standing.
