Job Description
- Client is seeking one Business Analyst II to support an internal intranet migration from OpenText TeamSite to SharePoint.
- The role focuses on quality assurance and migrated-content validation: comparing legacy content with the new site, confirming that pages, tables, attachments and procedures have transferred accurately, checking site functionality, and identifying missing content, steps or sequencing issues.
- The successful candidate will document defects, support migration readiness, help investigate scripting issues, validate fixes and retest.
- This position requires approximately four years of testing experience, hands-on familiarity with OpenText TeamSite and SharePoint, strong written and verbal English, critical thinking and exceptional attention to detail.
- The analyst will work independently within a larger migration team of 20+ members.

Responsibilities
Content migration validation
- Compare migrated content in the target platform with the legacy/source content.
- Check that required content has carried over and identify missing or inaccurate information.
- Verify tables, attachments and procedure content are present and correctly transferred.
- Identify gaps in steps, content or sequencing and explain potential impact.
Quality assurance & functionality
- Check that the new site functions as expected for the migrated content and procedures.
- Assess content quality and migration readiness using a careful, systematic approach.
- Support investigation of migration-script issues and verify that scripts/fixes work correctly.
Defect management & retesting
- Document defects and migration issues clearly, with enough detail to support correction.
- Work with relevant project partners to validate corrections and retest affected content.
- Raise challenges, errors and risks promptly; ensure issues are visible through resolution.
Independent delivery & communication
- Manage assigned validation work independently and maintain close attention to detail.
- Communicate findings clearly in written and verbal English.
- Support the larger migration team in readiness and quality activities.
Required Skillsets
- Testing experience: Approximately 4 years of practical testing / QA experience.
- OpenText TeamSite: Hands-on experience with OpenText TeamSite; able to work with source/legacy content.
- SharePoint: Hands-on SharePoint experience; able to assess content on the target platform.
- Migration validation: Compare legacy and migrated content to identify omissions, accuracy issues and quality gaps.
- Content management: Experience working with pages, procedures and managed content; ensure completeness and accurate sequencing.
- Defect documentation: Clearly record defects and findings, support correction and retest.
- Functionality / quality checks: Verify the new site and migrated content are functioning as expected; validate tables and attachments.
- Critical thinking / detail: Systematic, careful approach to finding missing content, steps, attachments or sequencing issues.
- Communication: Strong command of English, written and verbal; comfortable articulating problems and raising errors.
- Independent work: Can own assigned validation tasks while contributing to a larger migration team.
Preferred Skillsets
- HTML coding.
- Previous work on similar platform/content migrations, especially TeamSite-to-SharePoint.
- Banking or enterprise experience.
- Broader content-management or internal intranet experience.
- Migration-readiness support or experience investigating migration-script issues.
Education: Post-secondary education preferred.
