About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst with strong technology delivery experience and expertise in QRM, Treasury, Asset-Liability Management (ALM), Interest Rate Risk (IRR), and/or Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP).
The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to analyze current-state processes, gather and translate requirements, define system and data flows, and support enterprise technology implementations. This role requires a strong combination of business analysis, technical delivery, data analysis, systems integration, and financial services knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements.
- Analyze current-state processes and define future-state business and technology solutions related to ALM, FTP, IRR, and Treasury.
- Support the implementation and integration of QRM or comparable Treasury/ALM platforms.
- Lead requirements workshops and create business, process, data, and technical artifacts.
- Develop data flow diagrams, process models, system architecture diagrams, and integration specifications.
- Translate business requirements and business rules into detailed technical requirements.
- Create user stories and acceptance criteria using JIRA and Confluence.
- Maintain requirements traceability throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Analyze large and complex datasets using SQL to identify issues, investigate trends, and support business decisions.
- Work with data flows, APIs, databases, integrations, and enterprise applications.
- Support testing activities by defining scenarios, test conditions, expected results, and acceptance criteria.
- Assist with defect triage, validation, UAT, performance testing, and operational acceptance testing.
- Develop and maintain data lineage, data catalogs, governance documentation, and control artifacts.
- Collaborate with development and testing teams to ensure requirements are delivered accurately and effectively.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, innovation, and increased delivery efficiency.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, documentation, delivery, and productivity.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to ensure technology solutions meet business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in Business Systems Analysis, technology delivery, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience implementing, integrating, or supporting QRM or comparable Treasury/ALM platforms, or delivering large-scale enterprise systems within financial services, risk, treasury, or other complex data-intensive environments.
- Strong experience with SQL and large-scale data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and reconcile complex datasets and investigate issues to support business requirements and solutions.
- Strong experience with requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and traceability.
- Advanced process modeling and diagramming skills, including data flows, system architecture, and business process maps.
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence in an Agile delivery environment.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, and implementation.
- Experience with system integration, data integration, system testing, and validation methodologies.
- Working knowledge of APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and system integration patterns.
- Experience developing and maintaining requirements, governance, design, and technical documentation.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, documentation, and delivery outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of financial products, balance sheet management, Treasury, ALM, FTP, and Interest Rate Risk.
- Experience working with QRM in a major financial institution.
- Experience with Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
- Knowledge of Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Experience creating source-to-target mappings, data lineage, and integration specifications.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality management.
- Experience with big-data concepts and large-scale data environments.
- 5+ years of Agile delivery experience.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related discipline is an asset.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate combines strong Business Systems Analysis and enterprise technology delivery experience with practical knowledge of QRM, Treasury, ALM, IRR, and/or FTP. They should be comfortable working across business and technology teams, analyzing complex data, documenting end-to-end processes and integrations, and supporting large-scale financial systems implementations.
