Original job description

Work model: Hybrid (4 days onsite and 1 day remote)

Duration: 12 months (Extension & Conversion possible)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Finance Analyst III to join the Finance team at a leading financial institution in Toronto. This role will support day-to-day business operations, including FX PnL calculations, trade exposure analysis, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial reporting, securities experience, and the ability to work with large volumes of financial data. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to gain experience within a leading financial institution.

Key Responsibilities

Calculate FX PnL and exposure for trades.
Support financial reporting and accounting activities.
Analyze and reconcile large volumes of financial data.
Assist with finance-related tasks and business-as-usual (BAU) activities as assigned.
Ensure accuracy, timely completion, and delivery of assigned tasks.
Collaborate with team members to support daily finance operations and meet deadlines.

Required Qualifications

5–7 years of experience in finance, accounting, financial reporting, or a related field.
University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Experience working with securities, capital markets, or financial services.
Strong experience in financial reporting and accounting.
Experience working with large volumes of financial data.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with FX PnL calculations and trade exposure analysis.
Accounting designation (CPA) or CFA certification.
Experience in securities operations, trading, or financial markets.
