Learning And Development Specialist # 26-23559

Duration: 12 Months Contract (Extension + Conversion Possible)

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM-Hybrid work model, 4 days onsite, 1 day work from home

Locations: Markham, ON or Ottawa, ON

Job Description:

• Design high-quality blended learning and performance solutions

• Partner with business teams to support strategic learning initiatives

• Develop engaging learning experiences for diverse audiences

• Support multiple learning and development projects across various business functions

Responsibilities:

• Conduct learning needs analysis

• Design instructional frameworks and learning solutions

• Create content maps, storyboards, and narrative scripts

• Develop eLearning and multimedia learning content

• Build presentation and communication materials for senior leadership

• Lead project scoping and planning activities

• Collaborate with business partners and subject matter experts

• Recommend blended learning approaches

• Manage multiple concurrent projects

• Ensure learning solutions meet quality standards

• Ensure accessibility and inclusive learning design principles

• Track project progress and provide status updates

• Support curriculum development activities

• Maintain learning solutions and related documentation

• Participate in stakeholder meetings and working sessions

• Apply adult learning principles and industry best practices

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Experience:

• Must have 5+ years of Instructional Design experience

• Must have experience designing blended learning solutions

• Must have experience conducting learning needs analysis

• Must have experience developing learning programs and curriculum

• Must have experience creating storyboards and instructional content

• Must have experience developing presentation materials for senior management

• Must have experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

• Must have strong project management skills

• Must have strong stakeholder management skills

• Must have strong problem-solving skills

• Must have strong influencing skills

• Must have strong communication skills

• Must have strong attention to detail

• Must have proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Must have proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint

• Must have proficiency in Microsoft Visio

• Must have proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

• Must have proficiency in Storyline 360

• Must have proficiency in Rise 360

• Must have proficiency in Powtoon

• Must have experience developing video-based learning content

• Must have ability to work independently

• Must have experience meeting tight deadlines

• Must have knowledge of adult learning principles

• Must have experience evaluating learning effectiveness

• Must have experience with online learning solutions

• Must have experience with performance support tools

• Must have financial services industry experience as a strong asset

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Educational Technology or related field
