Job Description
We are seeking a Systems Analyst II (.NET Developer) to support a large-scale enterprise application modernization initiative. The resource will contribute across the application, integration, data, and presentation layers, with a strong focus on Microsoft .NET development, API services, SQL Server, data migration, and front-end development. The role will involve enhancing existing applications, developing new functionality, integrating systems, supporting data migration activities, and ensuring solutions meet business and technical requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with solution architects, development teams, business stakeholders, and other project team members to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and deploy enterprise applications. The position will also require participation in solution documentation, testing activities, issue remediation, and Agile/Kanban-based project tracking.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using the Microsoft .NET technology stack.
- Develop application functionality using C#, ASP.NET Core/MVC, and ASP.NET Framework.
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and performant RESTful APIs and service-based integrations.
- Support integration between applications, systems, and downstream data consumers.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database-related solutions using Microsoft SQL Server.
- Support data extraction, reporting feeds, exports, and downstream reporting requirements.
- Participate in data migration planning and execution from legacy/source systems to target platforms.
- Develop migration utilities, transformation logic, validation routines, and data-quality checks.
- Perform data reconciliation, investigate data issues, and support resolution activities with technical and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Razor and/or Blazor.
- Develop UI components aligned with UX requirements and accessibility standards.
- Troubleshoot application and UI issues and support performance optimization.
- Participate in application, API, integration, and migration testing, including test-script execution and defect remediation.
- Assist with technical solution design and development documentation.
- Support API documentation and deployment activities across development and other environments.
- Participate in team stand-ups and development-focused meetings.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, business stakeholders, and other project team members to achieve project objectives.
- Track assigned tasks and deliverables using Kanban/Planner boards and other project management tools.
- Support deployment, cutover, and production-readiness activities as required.
Experience
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience working in a Systems Analyst and/or Software Developer capacity.
- Recent hands-on experience developing solutions using the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, including .NET Framework and/or .NET Core.
- Strong experience with C# and ASP.NET Core/MVC development.
- Experience working with ASP.NET Framework, RESTful APIs, and service-based/web-service integrations.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL development, queries, and stored procedures.
- Demonstrated experience supporting data extraction, data transformation, data migration, reporting feeds, and exports.
- Experience designing, developing, and integrating secure and scalable APIs.
- Experience developing front-end/user interface solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Razor and/or Blazor.
- Experience working within structured software development teams and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience participating in application testing, troubleshooting, remediation, documentation, and deployment activities.
- Experience with legacy application modernization, system integration, or enterprise application transformation is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting data migration and modernization initiatives is highly desirable.

- Additional Desired Skills: Legacy system modernization, enterprise application integration, mainframe modernization, data migration projects, solution design, cross-functional stakeholder collaboration, and government/public-sector or large enterprise application experience.
Education
- Post-secondary education from a recognized institution, preferably a 2+ year program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Management, or Business.
- Equivalent demonstrated professional experience may be considered in lieu of the formal educational requirement.
