We are seeking an experienced Senior Programmer Analyst to support a healthcare technology team responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing critical healthcare applications. The role involves a combination of application development, production support, systems analysis, database management, and integration support.

The successful candidate will develop and implement technical solutions, troubleshoot application issues, support software upgrades and releases, and enhance existing systems to meet evolving business requirements. The role involves working with healthcare applications, electronic health records, clinical data repositories, patient registries, and application integration services.

The candidate will also participate in incident and problem management, technical documentation, application releases, and on-call operational support as required.

• Maintain, support, enhance, and optimize existing healthcare applications.
• Develop, document, code, test, and implement technical solutions to meet business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application errors, incidents, and production issues.
• Support application upgrades, releases, service requests, and problem management activities.
• Enhance existing applications to improve efficiency, performance, and security.
• Work with Oracle and SQL Server databases, including extracts, views, reports, and data processing.
• Support application integrations using integration engines such as Rhapsody.
• Maintain and enhance .NET-based applications and associated database components.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for technical and operational requirements.
• Support Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and reporting-related activities.
• Support healthcare applications, electronic health records, clinical data repositories, and patient registry systems.
• Work with Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) technologies where applicable.
• Maintain technical documentation, knowledge repositories, and operational procedures.
• Participate in team meetings, scrum activities, application releases, and operational support rotations.
• Provide on-call, after-hours, and occasional weekend support as required.

• Minimum 15 years of overall IT/IM experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Senior Programmer, including programming and analysis.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with healthcare and Electronic Health Record applications.
• Minimum 15 years of experience developing, documenting, coding, testing, and implementing technical solutions.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with integration engines such as Rhapsody.
• Minimum 15 years of experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with PowerShell scripting.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with Microsoft SSRS.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with EMPI technologies, such as Initiate and Infosphere.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with .NET.
• Demonstrated experience in application maintenance, production troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work onsite in Fredericton, New Brunswick, for the contract duration.

• A university degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and professional experience may be considered.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
