The Client’s Talent Acquisition team is seeking a contract Recruiter V to support day-to-day retail and branch hiring in a high-volume environment.
This full-cycle recruiting role partners with hiring managers, manages requisitions from intake through offer, supports candidate pipelines and hiring events, coordinates interviews and background checks, and contributes to recruitment projects.
You will join a six-recruiter team with training and shadowing, a supportive and collaborative culture, and the opportunity to help shape people’s careers while connecting with branch managers.
The work is hybrid, with 1–2 days in the Toronto office (cadence/frequency not specified); attendance at hiring events may be required. The intake states that this role does not access customer data.

Responsibilities

Full-cycle recruiting

Conduct hiring-manager intake discussions, clarify role requirements, and open/manage requisitions.
Support sourcing and pipeline initiatives for active and passive candidates using appropriate recruiting channels.
Coordinate and conduct interviews as assigned; organize hiring events and schedule final rounds with managers.
Coordinate background checks and support the offer process through completion.
Maintain clear, timely communication with candidates and internal stakeholders throughout the recruiting cycle.

Recruitment delivery, reporting, and partnership

Support day-to-day retail hiring and partner primarily with internal hiring managers; engage HR and business stakeholders as needed.
Track requisitions, time-to-hire, escalations, compliance, and pipeline activity; maintain accurate recruitment reports.
Follow applicable HR policies, recruitment procedures, and risk/control practices when handling candidate processes.
Contribute to pipeline projects, recruitment events, market insights, and process-improvement initiatives.
Help deliver a positive hiring-manager and candidate experience and escalate issues promptly.

Microsoft Excel: strong working skills; the intake marks this as required.
Interview and requisition coordination aligned to the stated full-cycle duties.
Candidate tracking, follow-up, and escalation handling aligned to the stated performance measures.
Ability to work in the stated hybrid model and attend hiring events when required.

Preferred skillsets

Some agency recruiting experience.
Corporate or enterprise talent-acquisition experience.
Banking knowledge, preferably retail banking or branch recruitment.
Experience with candidate-pipeline initiatives, active/passive sourcing, or hiring events.
Recruitment-project, market-data, or talent-market research exposure.
Familiarity with HR hiring policies, recruitment compliance, or enterprise frameworks.
Resourceful, proactive, collaborative approach; asks clarifying questions.

Education: Post-secondary education would be an asset.
