Description:
This is an onsite role and candidate will work at the Laval office minimum three (3) times every week.
The role requires a candidate who is proficient in French and English language.
Supply Chain Planning & Optimization Specialist
- As part of the local Client Diagnostics Supply Chain the Specialist, Supply Chain Planning & Optimization plays a significant role in delivering our North Star by guaranteeing our Customers superior product availability levels while at the same time meeting Client’s financial objectives (inventory, write-off levels and logistics costs).
- Acts as a team player and builds bridges with all stakeholders within the Canadian Affiliate and Global Organizations. Understands the customer requirements within a constantly changing market environment and consequently creates or redefines processes by incorporating innovative supply chain solutions, in order to deliver a competitive advantage.

Strategic long-term Portfolio Management:
- Leading Demand Management of Standard, Phase-in/out, Launches/Discontinuations, Installations/De-installations.
- Optimizes Product Availability (part of OTIF calculation), Forecast Accuracy, Inventory and write-off levels.
- Assures a constant and transparent information flow between Local Business Areas and the Global Supply Chain
- Continuously investigates for trends and root causes for supply issues by Business Area, Profit Center and Product level. Identifies solutions, provides with recommendations and initiates improvement initiatives.
- Creates, maintains, analyzes and presents relevant Key Performance Indicators to superiors and within different cross-functional forums.
- Assures optimal planning parameter settings.
- Participate in different forums, sometimes ad-hoc, with partners from Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Customer Service, Marketing, Sales, Global Supply Chain and Global Supply Chain IT, Service Engineers and others and develop solutions to reduce customer impact to a minimum.
What you’ll need to be successful
- Bachelor’s degree (i.e. Management of Operations and Production (GOP), Management in Operations and Logistics GOL))
- 5 to 7 years of experience within Demand Panning and Materials Management

- MS Office Applications (advanced Excel knowledge)
- Advanced knowledge of SAP-MM, APO, BW
- French and English written/spoken
- APICS Certification (CPIM or CSCP) an asset
- Continuous Improvement Certification an asset
