Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days onsite currently, subject to increase to 4 days in future)

Duration: 1 Year Contract; extension possible

Schedule: Mon–Fri, 9 AM–5 PM (40 hrs/week); On-call rotation every other week

Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services sector, is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Systems Administrator to join a 14-person IT Service Management team on a long-term contract basis. This role is responsible for designing and implementing IT Service Management solutions across a multi-instance ServiceNow environment (15 instances), ensuring alignment with governance, compliance, risk, and business performance objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for a ServiceNow specialist to work on enterprise-scale integrations and development initiatives within a stable, long-term engagement offering strong extension potential.

Experience: 5+ years ServiceNow Systems Administration experience

Responsibilities

IT Service Management

Design and implement solutions following established IT Service Management policies and standards
Ensure delivered solutions enable the organization to manage incidents, problems, changes, and service requests
Balance solution delivery against risk, cost, control, governance, and compliance objectives
Provide technical and thought leadership across system integration and application development
Promote best practices across ServiceNow administration and development

Technical Delivery & Support

Work closely with clients, project managers, and systems management teams to define scope of work and provide accurate cost/schedule estimates
Review internal artifacts and vendor deliverables to ensure solution requirements are met
Lead/contribute to architecture, design, and code reviews of IT Service Management solutions
Troubleshoot production and test issues; perform root cause analysis and lead resolution efforts
Perform off-hours maintenance and deployments; provide 24x7 support to maintain service availability
Manage code deployment across 15 ServiceNow instances

Required Skillsets

ServiceNow Administration: 5+ years of dedicated hands-on ServiceNow Systems Administration experience
Certification: Active ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator)
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
ITSM Knowledge: Solid understanding of ITSM processes (incident, problem, change, service request)
Troubleshooting: Proven root cause analysis and production issue resolution skills
Deployment Management: Experience managing code deployments across multiple ServiceNow instances
On-Call Support: Willingness and ability to support rotational on-call schedule
Governance & Compliance: Awareness of IT governance, risk, and compliance frameworks
Stakeholder Management: Ability to work with project managers, clients, and systems teams
Documentation: Ability to review and validate vendor/internal technical artifacts

Preferred Skillsets

ServiceNow development experience (scripting, workflow, integrations)
Prior experience within banking or financial services organizations
ITIL 4 Foundation certification
Experience with ServiceNow integrations (APIs, third-party tool connections)
Experience supporting large enterprise, multi-instance ServiceNow environments

Education: Post-secondary education (any discipline)

Certifications:

Required: ServiceNow CSA.
Nice-to-have: ITIL 4
