  • Obtain supplier quotations, prepare purchase orders, and coordinate requirements with vendors, as well as UVAD engineering and production personnel.
  • Receive incoming parts and materials, verify quantity and condition, and complete documented acceptance activities in support of the quality system.
  • Identify, document, and report damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming parts and materials.
  • Perform basic product assembly using hand tools, drawings, work instructions, and established procedures.
  • Coordinate and support the movement of equipment, materials, and products between UVAD facilities, test locations, and customer sites.
  • Maintain tool-control, certification, and calibration records.
  • Provide clear and timely reporting on shop activities, production progress, inventory status, purchasing, and logistics.

  • Comfortable using basic hand tools and performing hands-on work.
  • Able to safely lift and move typical shop materials and equipment.
  • Able to follow drawings, written instructions, checklists, and established procedures.
  • Proficient with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word, and comfortable entering information in procurement or inventory systems.
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and suppliers.
  • Willing to learn and apply themselves to purchasing, inventory, logistics, assembly, and quality-system procedures.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance.

Compensation:

  • Salary based on relevant experience and training.
  • Group health benefits package and Health Spending Account (HSA).
  • Optional participation in the RSP matching program.
  • Eligibility to participate in the company stock option program.

  • Additional paid time off, including four planned company-wide days off and a Christmas holiday shutdown.
