Contract Controller
Location: Calgary, AB
Type: Contract – 6 Months

Our client, a growing Calgary-based organization in the construction industry, is looking for a Contract Controller to join its finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Senior Accountant, Assistant Controller, or emerging Controller who enjoys being hands-on while also taking ownership of financial reporting and helping coordinate the broader accounting function.
The successful candidate will work closely with finance leadership and serve as a key link between leadership and the AR, AP, and bookkeeping functions.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and month/year-end reporting
- Manage intercompany accounting across multiple related entities
- Coordinate accounting activities across AR, AP, and bookkeeping
- Support process improvements, controls, and accounting system initiatives
What We're Looking For:
- 3–5+ years of progressive, full-cycle accounting experience
- Strong financial reporting, reconciliation, and period-end close experience
- Experience with intercompany accounting and coordinating accounting activities
- Hands-on, adaptable approach with strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have:
- CPA designation, CPA candidate, or recognized international accounting designation
- Construction, project-based, or multi-entity accounting experience
- QuickBooks Online experience
- Experience improving accounting processes, systems, or workflows
