About the Opportunity

Financial Reporting & Consolidations

Oversee consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities in accordance with ASPE.
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
Review complex accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Provide financial insights to senior leadership.

Accounting Operations & Controls

Oversee accounting operations, internal controls, and governance.
Coordinate annual audits and support tax compliance.
Drive process improvements and standardization across finance.

Business Support & Strategy

Partner with senior leadership on strategic decisions and financial planning.
Provide analysis on development projects, investments, and corporate initiatives.
Support special projects, systems enhancements, and organizational growth.

Leadership & Team Development

Lead and develop a team of 3–4 accounting professionals.
Oversee the Accounting Manager, Senior Property Accountant, Staff Accountant(s), and AP Supervisor.
Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
Partner with the VP, Finance & Treasury on departmental priorities and objectives.

About You

Candidates must possess a CPA or ACCA designation
Minimum of 7-8 years of progressive experience, including experience at the Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller level.
Real estate or construction development experience is required, along with demonstrated financial statement consolidation experience.

Compensation

$125,000 - $140,000 / year + 10% performance bonus + 3% pension
