Are you an early-career Carpenter who already has some residential construction experience and is ready to take the next step?
Valdek Construction specializes in home additions, basement renovations, and full home remodels across Winnipeg. We're looking for a Junior Carpenter who has a solid foundation in residential construction, takes pride in quality work, and is eager to learn from experienced Carpenters.

- Assisting with residential renovations, remodels, additions, and basement projects
- Performing demolition and site preparation
- Assisting with framing walls, floors, and other structural components
- Installing insulation, drywall, trim, doors, cabinetry, shelving, and finishing hardware
- Taking accurate measurements and preparing materials for installation
- Reading and following construction drawings with support from senior team members
- Safely operating and maintaining hand tools and power tools
- Keeping jobsites clean, organized, and safe
- Loading, unloading, and organizing materials
- Supporting experienced Carpenters with daily project tasks
- Communicating professionally with homeowners and team members when needed
- Taking care of company tools, equipment, and vehicles
- $20-$28/hour, based on experience and skill level
- Full-time, year-round employment
- Interior renovation work throughout the winter
- Early Fridays: 9-hour days Monday through Thursday and a half-day Friday
- Weekends are generally yours. Occasional weekend work may be required to meet a deadline, but it is rare and planned in advance.
- 75% employer-paid health, dental, and health practitioner coverage after 90 days
- Paid sick days
- $500 annual tool allowance after 90 days

- Is dependable, punctual, and ready to contribute each day

- Is a registered apprentice or interested in continuing an apprenticeship
- Has a valid Class 5 driver's licence and reliable transportation
