Did it drive you crazy how inefficient things were at your last job? Did you wish someone would just put you in charge of the process and let you fix it? If so, this job is for you.

At Valen, fixing broken processes isn't overstepping. It's the job. You'll run day-to-day operations, manage projects from client onboarding to delivery, and be the main point of contact for our clients. You'll also have real authority to change how we work. Most jobs ask you to follow the process. This one asks you to help shape it.

About Valen

We make marketing content that converts for global software companies.

The way people buy software is changing fast. Buyers don't just Google anymore. They ask ChatGPT, watch YouTube, scroll LinkedIn, and trust what they see across the web. Valen exists to make sure our clients show up in all of those places.

We're a content marketing agency serving B2B SaaS companies across North America and Europe. Our work spans three pillars:

SEO & AEO: content that ranks on Google and gets our clients recommended by AI platforms like ChatGPT and Gemini
Paid ads & demand gen: LinkedIn and Meta ad campaigns that turn attention into pipeline
Video & organic social: content for YouTube and social that builds trust before a buyer ever books a demo

Every piece of work is done by a specialist on our team who's great at that one thing. That gives clients senior-level quality across every channel without hiring a big in-house team.

Where we're headed. Valen is growing quickly. We're bringing our core team on full-time and putting down roots in Lindsay, Ontario, building a local team doing world-class work for tech companies everywhere. You'd be joining early, at the point where the systems you build become the way the whole company runs.

WithValen.com (This is just a landing page for a single service we offer. We're currently going through a rebrand and are building a new website.)

What We Value, and Why It Matters in This Role

The person in this seat touches every client and every project, so how you work will shape the company.

Client trust. Every message answered, every deadline hit, every report on time is how a client decides whether to trust us. In this role, you're often the voice they hear from.
Own it. If something lands on your desk, it gets done or it gets handed off with everything the next person needs. Nothing falls through the cracks on your watch.
Fix it, don't tolerate it. "That's how we've always done it" isn't a reason. If a process is slow or clumsy, you have permission, and the expectation, to make it better.
Write it down. A fix that lives in one person's head isn't a fix. You'll document what works and build SOPs so the whole team can follow it.

What You'll Actually Do

This isn't an inbox-clearing, calendar-shuffling job. You won't spend your days on busywork someone else designed. You'll run the engine that moves work from client onboarding to a finished deliverable, and you'll have real authority to make that engine better.

Run client delivery

Monitor client Slack channels and email, triage incoming requests, and route them to the right specialist
Turn requests into clear, complete Asana tasks so our team and subcontractors have everything they need
Tell clients what's happening and when, then follow through
Package finished work and deliver it with a clear summary of what we did, why it matters, and what's next
Make sure reports go out on time, every time

Own quality and capacity

Review deliverables for quality and completeness before they reach the client
Keep a pulse on team workload and flag capacity issues before deadlines slip
Catch out-of-scope requests and raise them instead of letting them get quietly absorbed

Onboard and care for clients

Run new client onboarding: kickoff logistics, collecting access and logins, and setting up Slack channels and Asana projects
Turn call recordings and AI meeting notes into tasks and client recaps
Over time, join client status calls alongside the founder
Watch account health and flag early signs of an unhappy client or a growth opportunity

Fix how we work

Spot clunky processes, redesign them, document them, and make sure the team follows them
Build and maintain SOPs, templates, and checklists
Find smart ways to use AI and automation to save the team time

Who Thrives Here

We care far more about how you work than where you've worked. Marketing or agency experience is a bonus, not a requirement.

Must-haves

You're seriously computer savvy. You know Google Workspace inside and out, you're fast on your laptop, and you pick up new tools quickly. Bonus points if you already use AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude in your daily work.
You're highly organized and allergic to inefficiency. When you see a clunky process, it bugs you until you fix it, and then you document it so it stays fixed.

You'll also do well here if you:

Write clearly and professionally
Juggle many moving parts without dropping balls
Follow through without being chased
Are comfortable giving teammates and contractors clear direction
Have used Asana, Slack, or similar tools

How We'll Measure Success

Client reports and deliverables go out on time
Client messages get a same-day response
Every active task in Asana has an owner, a due date, and the information needed to complete it
Clients feel well taken care of
Our processes are documented and getting better every month

Room to Grow

This is a ground-floor opportunity at a company built to scale. Valen is early, growing fast, and building the team that will carry it to the next stage. Joining now means you won't inherit someone else's systems. You'll build them, and as the company grows, the systems you built grow with it.

If you want to grow into leadership, there's a clear path. As we scale, we'll need people to run teams, lead client relationships, and own operations across the company. The people who prove themselves early will be first in line for those roles. If you're hungry to grow, we'll give you the room and the responsibility to do it.

How to Apply

Please apply through LinkedIn with a very short note telling us about a process you fixed and how you did it.

Valen is committed to an inclusive, accessible hiring process. If you need an accommodation at any stage, let us know and we’ll work with you. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and experiences.
