Project Planner to join our Automation & Assembly and Body-in-White divisions. In this role, you will provide technical support and services required to plan and monitor project details, ensuring successful project completion in alignment with customer requirements. What You’ll Get To Do
- Project Planning & Analysis: Provide technical support and services to plan and monitor project details, including analysis of schedule deviations and corrective actions to ensure timely project completion.
- Schedule Performance Tracking: Collect, analyze, and communicate ongoing detailed reporting of schedule performance relative to timing using Microsoft Project critical path management techniques.
- Task Progress Monitoring: Gather and interpret task progress related to the Program Delivery Process, including departmental tasks and purchased component deliveries, ensuring alignment with baseline program timing.
- Forecasting & Risk Management: Forecast program timing and report critical path deviations to the Project Management team, helping to identify risks and opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Schedule and lead status meetings with cross-functional project team members to identify and resolve issues related to program timing and progress.
- Workload Forecasting: Maintain detailed forecasts of various departments’ timing and workload requirements to aid in risk management and resource planning for current and upcoming programs.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Management Engineering is required.
- Experience: Experience in project planning within the automotive machine/tool industry is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Project and knowledge of critical path management techniques.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills to forecast and report project timing.
- Adaptability: Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate attention to detail while adhering to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership & Initiative: Self-motivated with proven leadership ability and problem-solving skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Travel to the USA may occasionally be required.

The expected annual compensation for this position is $70,000-$90,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skillset, or location.
