Warehouse Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Able and capable of training Associates how to be more proficient in their job duties and requirements, to set the standard for maximum performance
• Proficient at implementing the best and safest way to get the job done
• Conduct meetings, briefings to leads and floor staff regarding newly implemented procedures.
• Monitor workload and direct resources accordingly
• Proactively carry out all issues which are necessary to achieve shipping and receiving objectives
• Queue management to ensure picking/packing and staging of all materials
• Ability to use RF Gun
• Proactive communication skills
• High level of organization
• Team orientated approach to tasks with great follow through
• Read, understand, and follow Vallen's health, safety, and environment policies and all applicable OH&S legislation/regulations
• Actively participate in Vallen's health and safety management system, including training, audits, assessments, safety meetings, and inspections
• Identify, control, and report workplace hazards including following WHMIS/TDG requirements and reporting near misses
• Report workplace injuries immediately and participate in any return-to-work programs or requirements
• Be fit for duty and physically capable of performing all required tasks
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

Education and Training:

• High School Diploma required.
• First Aid Certification preferred
• WHMIS Certification preferred
• Forklift Certification preferred
