Functional Analyst

The opportunity:

Valnet is seeking a highly analytical, knowledgeable and driven Functional Analyst to join a multi-functional development team. The Functional Analyst will be a key player in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. In this role, will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify needs. You will also work closely with developer tech leads, to scope out and design solutions, which ensure that our systems and applications align with business goals.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough analysis and propose solutions and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
Create clear documentation of functional procedures, specifications, and business processes to guide end users.
Be an authority on system functionality and help guide stakeholders’ education of new features.
Work closely with development teams to ensure the successful implementation of business requirements.
Participate in the design and testing phases to validate that solutions meet functional requirements.
Manage project distribution and prioritization for a team of technical developers.
Validate and approve projects deployment to the production environment.
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop test scenarios and ensure that testing adequately covers functional requirements. Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist in resolving any issues that arise.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Provide regular updates on project progress, escalate issues as needed, and ensure that expectations are managed appropriately.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in related field or science
related.
3-10 years relevant work experience (e.g. for an online publisher or web app developer) will be reviewed as an equivalence to a. degree.
Proven experience as an IT Functional Analyst or in a similar IT role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Obsession over details and clarity of information.
Experience working with web applications.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

L’ Analyste D'affaires jouera un rôle clé en comblant l’écart entre les besoins d’affaires et les solutions technologiques. Dans ce rôle, vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec les parties prenantes internes pour identifier les besoins. Vous collaborerez également avec les chefs d’équipe techniques pour définir et concevoir des solutions assurant l’alignement de nos systèmes et applications avec les objectifs d’affaires.

Responsabilités :

Mener des analyses approfondies et proposer des solutions et des flux de travail afin d’identifier les axes d’amélioration.
Créer une documentation claire des procédures fonctionnelles, des spécifications et des processus d’affaires afin de guider les utilisateurs finaux. Être une autorité en matière de fonctionnalités système et contribuer à l’éducation des parties prenantes concernant les nouvelles fonctionnalités.
Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les équipes de développement pour assurer la mise en œuvre réussie des exigences d’affaires. Participer aux phases de conception et de tests afin de valider que les solutions répondent aux besoins fonctionnels.
Gérer la distribution et la priorisation des projets pour une équipe de développeurs techniques. Valider et approuver le déploiement des projets en environnement de production.
Collaborer avec les équipes d’assurance qualité pour élaborer des scénarios de test et s’assurer que les tests couvrent adéquatement les exigences fonctionnelles. Participer aux tests d’acceptation utilisateur (UAT) et aider à la résolution des problèmes.
Communiquer efficacement avec les parties prenantes techniques et non techniques. Fournir des mises à jour régulières sur l’avancement des projets, faire remonter les problèmes au besoin et veiller à une bonne gestion des attentes.

Exigences :

Baccalauréat dans un domaine connexe ou domaine scientifique.
3 à 5 ans d’expérience pertinente (ex. : pour un éditeur en ligne ou développeur d’application web) seront considérés comme équivalents à un diplôme.
Expérience avérée comme Analyste Fonctionnel(le) TI ou dans un rôle similaire.
Solides compétences en analyse et en résolution de problèmes.
Grande attention aux détails et à la clarté des informations.
