About The Role

This role is a rare chance to help build a finance function where accounting and technology meet. Our finance setup dates from our startup days, and we're rebuilding it to match the pace and complexity of the business.

As Senior Controller, you'll own revenue recognition and technical accounting across multiple entities. Just as important, you'll have real, hands-on ownership of the automation and data work that more and more of our finance function runs on.

This role is ideal for a CPA who's ready to grow beyond traditional accounting and specialize in accounting and technology together. You don't need deep AI or automation experience. What matters most is a strong accounting foundation and the drive to build that expertise.

What You'll Do

Own revenue recognition and every judgmental or complex accounting entry across all entities, including usage-based and payfac revenue under IFRS
Review and approve accounting entries across the group
Set technical accounting policy for the group, and make sure it's applied consistently across entities in different jurisdictions
Own and keep improving the group's core processes and controls across multiple entities and currencies, and build scalable, well-documented processes as we grow
Lead the multi-entity close and consolidation
Take a hands-on role in building the automation and data infrastructure that connects usage, billing and payment-settlement data across the group. As the function matures, you'll have a real chance to build deep expertise in financial systems and data modeling.
Build your skills with AI tools in day-to-day work such as journal entry review, reconciliation and reporting, with the goal of making them central to how you work
Manage and review the work of the Controller and transactional support staff, bringing organization, structure and focus to a team we're building from the ground up
Be the main escalation point for technical accounting questions, taking over this role from the CFO
Work directly with our international tax specialist and external auditors on statutory filings, transfer pricing and audit requirements across our four entities

What You'll Bring

CPA designation (or equivalent international designation)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of technical accounting
Solid understanding of IFRS
Experience closing and consolidating financials across multiple legal entities and/or jurisdictions
Experience reviewing and managing the work of other accounting staff, either as a people leader or through strong review and mentoring
Curiosity about data, systems and automation, and a drive to get fluent in them. Hands-on experience with AI tools or data modeling is a plus, not a requirement.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. You'll work directly with the CFO, the auditors and, as the team grows, other finance staff.
Comfort in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment that calls for significant hands-on work

NICE TO HAVE

Exposure to finance automation, RPA or AI-assisted accounting tools
Experience in payments or payment facilitation
An audit background at a Big 4 or national fir

À titre de contrôleur principal ou contrôleuse principale, vous serez responsable de la constatation des produits et de la comptabilité technique pour plusieurs entités. Tout aussi important, vous aurez une responsabilité concrète et directe sur les travaux d'automatisation et de données sur lesquels repose de plus en plus notre fonction finance.

Ce poste est idéal pour un ou une CPA prêt·e à aller au-delà de la comptabilité traditionnelle et à se spécialiser à la jonction de la comptabilité et de la technologie. Une expertise poussée en IA ou en automatisation n'est pas requise. Ce qui compte le plus, c'est une solide base en comptabilité et la volonté de développer cette expertise.

VOS RESPONSABILITÉS

Être responsable de la constatation des produits et de toutes les écritures comptables complexes ou exigeant du jugement pour l'ensemble des entités, y compris les produits fondés sur l'utilisation et ceux liés à la facilitation de paiement (payfac) selon les IFRS
Examiner et approuver les écritures comptables de l'ensemble du groupe
Établir les méthodes comptables du groupe et veiller à leur application uniforme dans les entités situées dans différents territoires
Prendre en charge et renforcer continuellement les processus et contrôles clés du groupe, pour plusieurs entités et devises, et mettre en place des processus évolutifs et bien documentés au fil de la croissance
Diriger la clôture et la consolidation des différentes entités
Participer activement à la mise en place de l'automatisation et de l'infrastructure de données reliant les données d'utilisation, de facturation et de règlement des paiements du groupe. À mesure que la fonction évoluera, vous aurez une réelle occasion de développer une expertise approfondie en systèmes financiers et en modélisation de données.
Développer vos compétences avec les outils d'IA dans votre travail quotidien, notamment pour l'examen des écritures de journal, les rapprochements et la production de rapports, dans le but d'en faire un élément central de votre façon de travailler
Gérer et examiner le travail du contrôleur ou de la contrôleuse et du personnel de soutien transactionnel, en apportant organisation, structure et priorités à une équipe que nous bâtissons de toutes pièces
Agir comme principale personne-ressource pour les questions de comptabilité technique, en prenant le relais du chef de la direction financière
Collaborer directement avec notre spécialiste en fiscalité internationale et les auditeurs externes sur les déclarations réglementaires, les prix de transfert et les exigences d'audit de nos quatre entités

VOTRE PROFIL

Titre de CPA (ou titre international équivalent)
Au moins 5 ans d'expérience progressive en comptabilité, incluant la responsabilité de la comptabilité technique
Bonne connaissance des IFRS
Expérience de la clôture et de la consolidation des états financiers de plusieurs entités juridiques ou territoires
Expérience de l'examen et de la gestion du travail d'autres membres du personnel comptable, que ce soit comme gestionnaire ou par un solide rôle d'examen et de mentorat
Curiosité pour les données, les systèmes et l'automatisation, et désir de les maîtriser. Une expérience pratique des outils d'IA ou de la modélisation de données est un atout, mais n'est pas exigée.
Excellentes aptitudes en communication écrite et orale. Vous travaillerez directement avec le chef de la direction financière, les auditeurs et, à mesure que l'équipe grandira, d'autres membres de l'équipe finance.
