Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As a Financial Inclusion Program Manager, you will work closely with senior leadership to improve member financial confidence, resilience, and access to opportunity for members facing systemic barriers. You will advance Vancity’s financial inclusion and financial education priorities by building community partnerships, developing innovative programs, leveraging member and program insights, and identifying opportunities to expand access to trusted financial services, education, credit, and guidance. This role plays a critical part in creating inclusive pathways that strengthen financial wellbeing outcomes for members and communities. We are seeking a strategic, collaborative, and impact-driven professional who is passionate about financial inclusion, community partnerships, and creating meaningful social impact.

This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Director, Co-Ops and Local Economy. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands.

How You'll Make an Impact:

Leading financial inclusion programs, education initiatives, partnerships, and delivery models through their full lifecycle

Designing, implementing, evaluating, and continuously improving financial inclusion and financial education initiatives

Developing tools, frameworks, procedures, and approaches that support accessible and member-centered service delivery

Building and managing relationships with settlement organizations, community partners, financial education providers, and other intermediaries

Identifying and activating partnerships and programs that improve access to banking, credit, financial education, and trusted guidance

Advancing opportunities to embed financial inclusion into products, services, member journeys, and community partnerships

Conducting research on financial inclusion, financial resilience, newcomer banking, inclusive product design, and emerging delivery models

Analyzing member insights, program results, and market trends to generate recommendations that improve financial wellbeing outcomes

Developing briefings, reports, presentations, and communications materials for leadership, partners, and external audiences

Influencing strategic priorities through evidence-based recommendations that strengthen financial inclusion and community impact

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Policy, Community Development, Social Sciences, Economics, Finance, Education, or a related discipline

5+ years of experience in financial inclusion, community development, financial education, program management, social impact, or partnership development

Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and evaluating programs or initiatives that improve community or member outcomes

Experience building and sustaining partnerships across community organizations, government agencies, educational institutions, or financial service providers

Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into practical recommendations

Exceptional relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills

Experience developing presentations, reports, business cases, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into accessible content

Extra Skills That Set You Apart:

Experience working within financial services, credit unions, social finance, or impact investing environments

Knowledge of newcomer banking, financial literacy, inclusive financial products, or behavioural-informed program design

Experience leveraging partnerships to create scalable community impact initiatives

What You’ll Earn:

This role offers a salary range of $108,500 to $140,500 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
