We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Procurement Lead to join our growing team in North Vancouver. Reporting to the Commercial Director, this role will play a critical part in supporting project delivery by leading procurement activities, driving value through strategic sourcing, strengthening supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely acquisition of materials, equipment, and services across our marine and heavy civil operations.

What You'll Do
As the Procurement Lead, you will support project teams and business operations by coordinating and executing procurement activities across direct and indirect spend categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with project and business requirements.
- Lead competitive bid processes, supplier evaluations, and procurement negotiations.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, supply chain efficiencies, and process improvements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, purchase orders, and supply contracts.
- Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery schedules, and contractual compliance.
- Work closely with Operations, Project Managers, Estimating, Finance, and Construction teams.
- Support procurement planning, material forecasting, and project execution strategies.
- Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and supplier capabilities to support informed purchasing decisions.
- Assist in developing procurement standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Support risk management and supply chain continuity initiatives.
What You Bring
- Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- CPP and/or SCMP designation preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience, preferably within:
- Marine Construction
- Heavy Civil Construction
- Infrastructure Projects
- Industrial Construction
- Strong contract negotiation and vendor management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve cost savings and deliver procurement value.
- Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in:
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience working in a project-based construction environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of construction materials, equipment procurement, and subcontract management is considered an asset.

Salary: $110 - $120k per annum
The actual salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on job‑related actors including relevant experience, years of experience, qualifications,
internal equity, and Carlson Construction Group’s compensation policy.
