This is an exciting opportunity for an OT who enjoys working directly with children and families and wants to be part of a fun, supportive, collaborative, and neurodiversity-affirming pediatric therapy environment.

Job Overview

  • Complete occupational therapy assessments for children and youth ages 2–19 (formal & informal assessments).
  • Develop individualized, functional treatment goals based on each child's strengths, interests, needs, and family priorities.

  • Support children with sensory processing, emotional regulation, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, handwriting, self-care, executive functioning, social participation, and other functional skills.
  • Work primarily with children with ASD, ADHD, developmental delays, and other neurodevelopmental differences.
  • Provide primarily clinic-based services, with the option of virtual/community sessions in a fully equipped pediatric therapy environment.
  • Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals involved in the child's care.
  • Provide families with practical strategies and home programs to support carryover outside of therapy sessions.
  • Complete timely documentation, including assessment reports, treatment plans, progress notes, and other clinical documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC) as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Previous experience working with children and/or youth is required.
  • Pediatric occupational therapy experience is an asset.
  • Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, developmental delays, sensory processing differences, or other developmental needs is an asset.
  • Comfortable collaborating with parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals.
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and is comfortable using play as a therapeutic tool.
  • Commitment to neurodiversity-affirming and child-centred care.
  • Ability to work independently while also being open to mentorship, collaboration, and feedback.
  • Additional language skills are preferred, particularly Cantonese, Mandarin, Punjabi or another language commonly spoken by families in the community.
