Role Description

Vantix Laser Canada is looking for a skilled and motivated Welder / Metal Fabricator to join our team in Lumby, BC. This is a full-time, on-site position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, fitting, assembling, and welding metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG (GMAW) and flux-core (FCAW) welding on steel components.

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.

• Measure, cut, fit, and assemble structural steel and custom metal components.

• Operate fabrication equipment, including saws, grinders, drills, and other shop tools.

• Inspect completed welds and assemblies to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

• Work independently and collaborate with the fabrication team to meet production deadlines.

• Assist with laser welding and other advanced manufacturing technologies as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of welding and metal fabrication experience preferred.

• Strong fitting, layout, and blueprint-reading skills.

• Experience with MIG and flux-core welding.

• CWB certification is an asset.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Good attention to detail, workmanship, and safety.

• Experience with CNC laser cutting or laser welding is an asset, but not required.
