Role: Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Mississauga, ON

Please note VCS cluster experience should be in recent project

Job Description

  • Responsible for OS Upgrades - complex environment Both VM and Physical and various firmware upgrade procedures.
  • RHEL 7 to 8 OS Inplace upgrade skill must
  • Should have knowledge about OS Compliance tools and its setup.
  • Must be able to configure & troubleshoot HBA and NIC load balancing.
  • OS installation and configuration
  • UNIX shell scripting & Perl scripting knowledge
  • Should have exposure on RAC cluster pre-requisite setup.
  • Should have knowledge on VCS cluster L3 level
  • Should have knowledge on VXVM / VCS Service group
  • Should have knowledge about OS Compliance tools and its setup.
  • Must be able to configure & troubleshoot HBA and NIC load balancing.
  • Should have Knowledge in Devops tools
  • Develop and maintain automation using Ansible for:
  • OS provisioning and configuration
  • Patch management and compliance enforcement
  • User management, package installation, and system hardening
  • Create and manage Ansible playbooks, roles, inventories, and variables
  • Integrate Ansible with CI/CD and DevOps pipelines where applicable
  • Have knowledge on preparing RCA
  • Flexible with shifts and on-call support over the weekends or weekdays according to the schedule
  • Good customer handling experience and good communication skills

Responsibilities

Perform complex operating system upgrades and infrastructure administration across virtual and physical environments, including firmware upgrades, compliance, and storage and network load-balancing configuration. Develop and maintain Ansible automation for provisioning, patching, compliance, user and package management, and system hardening, while supporting clusters, root cause analysis, and scheduled on-call coverage.

Requirements

Candidates should have senior-level Linux infrastructure experience, including recent VCS cluster experience, RHEL 7-to-8 in-place upgrades, and knowledge of VXVM/VCS service groups and RAC prerequisites. Unix shell and Perl scripting, Ansible and DevOps tools, operating system compliance, troubleshooting, customer communication, and flexibility for scheduled shifts and on-call support are also required.
