Position Summary:
The Material Handler performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in storage and distribution of materials.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Consolidate items in stock
- Put parts away
- Bin audits and cycle counts
- Follow procedures for any material movement
- Communicate daily tasks with Inventory Control Analyst
- Picking part requisitions and Manufacturing Orders (MOs)
- Follow the warehouse safety guidelines
- Comply with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) & MSL handling
- Package up outbound materials for sales orders
- Ensure aisles, shelves and bins are kept clean and organized
- Continuous improvement on materials handling process
- Verify and put away finished goods
- Bi-weekly checks of WMI material
- Report any issues to Inventory Control Analyst and Warehouse Manager
- Help other departments when required (Receiving and Shipping)
Position requirements:
- Grade 12 diploma or GED
- Typically requires a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience
- Strong computer knowledge
- Ability to lift 40lbs and handle heavier items
- WMS optional
- Forklift optional
