Original job description
The role:
- Own SAP FI/CO configuration: GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, intercompany, and banking
- Lead chart of accounts design through to business sign-off
- Design and prove entity consolidation and group reporting
- Design the period close and rehearse it before go-live
- Own finance reconciliation across mock data loads and cutover
- Build the finance reports and dashboards the business uses to make decisions
- Train finance users, write user guides and documentation, and support finance in SAP after go-live
- Act as the finance subject matter expert for SAP, working closely with the Finance business process owner
Must haves:
- 5+ years in an SAP finance functional or business analyst role
- S/4HANA finance configuration on at least two full lifecycles, at least one as the analyst
- Strong GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, intercompany, and period close experience
- Multi-entity consolidation and chart of accounts design or redesign
- Cutover balance validation alongside a controller
- Data extraction, mapping, conversion, and validation at volume
- Ability to turn business requirements into buildable specifications, and to explain them in plain language
- Degree in accounting, finance, commerce, business, or IT.

- Product costing / material ledger, SAP Group Reporting or Central Finance, Canadian and US tax, FP&A

Responsibilities

Requirements

Candidates need strong finance module and close experience, multi-entity consolidation and chart of accounts expertise, high-volume data conversion and validation skills, clear requirements communication, and a degree in accounting, finance, commerce, business, or IT.
