Department: Proof of Concept

Location: Canada - Flex (0006)

Description

This is a flexible position and has the option of working in our Toronto office full time or hybrid with two days in the office per week.

Vena Solutions is seeking a Senior Solutions Manager to help us expand our sophisticated SaaS cloud technology.

As our Senior Solutions Manager, you will be architecting Proof of Concept solutions for our clients to demonstrate how the Vena platform works. You will quickly translate prospect requirements into solutions that go beyond addressing stated pain points to illustrate Vena's broader value, own the project timeline, and lead the POC cycle from initial file review through design, build, test and delivery. You will serve as a key escalation point for challenges, time constraints and resource allocation, and engage directly with Solutions Consultants and prospects to ensure each POC is aligned to expectations and adds value to their business.

How You'll Make An Impact

Work with presales Solutions Consultants to deconstruct a client/prospect business process and define the strategy for delivering a meaningful Proof of Concept solution (POC)
Architect and build POCs that deliver the defined success criteria, are timely, complete, of high quality (including demo script), are within the allotted hours, and go beyond the prospect's stated pain points to illustrate Vena's value
Build complex integration channels, manage Vena tables and create complex calc scripts to support advanced POC solutions
Lead the POC cycle for the Solutions team, from initial file review with the prospect through design, build, test and delivery
Lead the dry-run discussion with the Solutions Consultant and prospect to confirm POC scope is aligned to expectations; where changes are needed, define the simplest way to incorporate them into the build
Act as a key escalation point for challenges, time constraints and resource allocation during POC builds, and lead continuous process improvement efforts to drive efficiency and enable scale
Mentor and guide Solutions Managers and new Solutions Consultants by providing your expertise on product, solution and subject matter expertise
Transform POC solutions to productized vertical, industry and partner solutions, and where required create, refine and maintain sales solutions, corporate standard demo, sales workshops and trial versions
Serve as a contributor and subject matter expert for competitive battlecards, supporting Vena's position in highly competitive deals
Create and maintain any required POC solution design and architecture documentation; other duties, as assigned

We'd Love to See

4+ years' related work experience with a proven track record working with or at a Corporate Performance Management (CPM) vendor;
Advanced understanding of Vena's product features, including the ability to build complex integration channels, manage Vena tables and create complex calc scripts;
Advanced knowledge of FP&A in at least 2-3 industries (e.g. manufacturing, services, banking, insurance), with the ability to clearly articulate the unique requirements of those industries and how Vena addresses them;
Ability to quickly understand prospect requirements and translate them into a Vena solution architected to illustrate Vena's value beyond the stated pain points;
Advanced knowledge of Vena's competitive advantage, including advanced knowledge of at least one Vena competitor and the ability to build demoware that positions Vena in highly competitive deals;
Comprehensive skill set using Excel; experience with Power BI an asset;
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor team members, manage multiple concurrent POC timelines and scoped hours, and serve as an escalation point for the team;
Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to lead dry-run discussions and demonstrate POCs to a Prospect Champion;
Self-learner, with sense of initiative, and perseverance to deliver high-quality work under pressure
Interest in AI and willingness to explore AI-driven solutions to enhance performance and drive efficiencies

The base salary range for this role is $106,250 - 143,750 CAD.
