Vention is seeking a skilled Software Developer/Engineer for our simulation team who is passionate about developing digital twin experiences for real-world robotics applications. This is an exciting opportunity to redefine simulation for Vention’s browser-first platform for machine design.

This position will require you to build expertise in the simulation components of Vention’s web-first technology stack. As a member of an agile team, you will refine Vention’s simulation engine by improving its accuracy, capabilities and scale.

What You’ll Do

Use your knowledge of computer science, software engineering, mathematics & algorithms to develop and enhance Vention’s browser-based simulation experience
Design, document, and implement new capabilities and workflows for the simulation product
Drive continuous improvement for the development & testing practices of the platform’s systems
Accelerate the process of modelling and introducing new, simulatable parts into the platform
Participate in agile activities such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and code reviews
Support and mentor junior members of the team in all aspects of agile software development
Collaborate with stakeholders, including the team lead, tech lead, architects, product manager, UX/UI designer and senior executives

What You Bring to the Table

At least 5-10 years of software development experience
Experience with Javascript/Typescript ecosystem
- Experience with the C++ ecosystem is an asset but not required
Ability to learn new concepts and technologies fast is a must
Strong advocate of automated software testing is a must
Experience Linear algebra with good exposure to computer graphics (3D) is an asset
Experience with computational geometry and numerical methods
Experience with developing simulation solutions or working with simulation engines
Experience developing software for robotic applications is an asset
Strong communication skills
The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high energy and enthusiasm

Vention est à la recherche d'un(e) développeur(se)/ingénieur(e) logiciel qualifié(e) pour son équipe de simulation, passionné(e) par le développement d'expériences de jumeaux numériques pour des applications robotiques réelles. Il s'agit d'une excellente opportunité de redéfinir la simulation pour la plateforme entièrement accessible par navigateur de Vention, dédiée à la conception de machines.

Ce poste vous amènera à développer une expertise dans les composants de simulation de la pile technologique axée sur le Web de Vention. En tant que membre d'une équipe agile, vous perfectionnerez le moteur de simulation de Vention en améliorant sa précision, ses fonctionnalités et sa capacité de prise en charge à grande échelle.

Ce que vous ferez:

Utiliser vos connaissances en informatique, génie logiciel, mathématiques et algorithmes pour développer et améliorer l'expérience de simulation sur navigateur de Vention
Concevoir, documenter et mettre en œuvre de nouvelles fonctionnalités et flux de travail pour le produit de simulation
Promouvoir l'amélioration continue des pratiques de développement et de test des systèmes de la plateforme
Accélérer le processus de modélisation et d'intégration de nouvelles pièces simulables dans la plateforme
Participer aux activités agiles telles que la planification des sprints, le affinage du carnet de commandes (backlog) et les revues de code
Soutenir et encadrer les membres juniors de l'équipe dans tous les aspects du développement logiciel agile
Collaborer avec les parties prenantes, notamment le chef d'équipe, le responsable technique, les architectes, le gestionnaire de produit, le designer UX/UI et les cadres dirigeants

Ce que vous apportez à l’équipe

Au moins 5 à 10 ans d'expérience en développement logiciel
Expérience avec l'écosystème JavaScript/TypeScript
- Expérience avec l'écosystème C++ (un atout, mais non requis)
Capacité à apprendre rapidement de nouveaux concepts et de nouvelles technologies (indispensable)
Fort engagement envers les tests logiciels automatisés (indispensable)
Expérience en algèbre linéaire avec une bonne exposition à l'informatique graphique (3D) (un atout)
Expérience en géométrie algorithmique et méthodes numériques
Expérience dans le développement de solutions de simulation ou dans le travail avec des moteurs de simulation
Expérience dans le développement de logiciels pour des applications robotiques (un atout)
Excellentes compétences en communication
