Job Description

Job Summary:

As a Dispatchable Field Service Representative, you’ll be on the front lines providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for our customers from a variety of industries. This mission-critical role involves working on a variety of technologies including media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de-oxygenation, electro deionization, and ultrafiltration (UF).

Duties & Responsibilities:

Carry out mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
Conduct maintenance and calibration activities
Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance
Create and maintain site paperwork and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
Consult with customer management and operation teams
Provide customers with informal training around operation and maintenance of their system
Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems
Perform analytical testing such as: turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements
Review customer plant installations and compare against Water Tech's reference drawings (P&IDs, electrical schematics, general arrangement, etc.)
Ensure contract compliance with volume and quality specifications
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent mechanical know-how and problem-solving skills
Intermediate skills with Google Suite and Microsoft Office
Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams

Education & Experience:

Required

High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent; 2+ years’ experience in service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Preferred

Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation

Working Conditions:

Must be able to meet customer site access and security requirements
Travel within the region as needed, up to 75%
Support emergency jobs as required

Responsibilities

Operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize industrial water treatment systems, including conducting equipment calibration, chemical system monitoring, and site-specific analytical testing. Document work, advise and train customers, manage spare parts and chemicals, and ensure installations and system performance meet contract specifications.

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma, GED, homeschool certification, or international equivalent; at least two years of industrial service or maintenance experience; and a valid Class 5 driver's license. Preferred qualifications include an associate or bachelor's degree in a STEM field or a technical certificate in instrumentation, along with strong mechanical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
