Original job description

About Us

At Veritas, we don’t just tell stories, we engineer influence. We move at the speed of culture, powered by insight, creativity, and a relentless commitment to earning attention in meaningful ways. As we expand our integrated communications practice, we’re looking for an Account Manager who combines strong project leadership, sharp strategic thinking, and deep understanding of the evolving PR industry. You’re someone who can guide the day‑to‑day work across multiple programs, build trusted relationships with clients and partners, and elevate ideas grounded in insight and cultural relevance. You thrive in fast‑paced environments, mentor junior team members, and keep projects moving with clarity, calm, and precision.

If you love building programs that make an impact and love seeing them through from insight to execution, you’ll fit right in.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

Client Management & Strategic Support

Serve as a day‑to‑day client contact, managing program delivery and ensuring clear, consistent communication.
Translate client briefs into actionable plans, timelines, briefs, and team direction.
Support strategic development by evaluating and integrating insights, analyzing cultural signals, and contributing recommendations that ladder up to client business goals.
Lead development of presentation materials, program recaps, and strategic POVs with senior oversight.
Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and agency partners through proactive communication, solution‑oriented thinking, and reliability.
Support senior leadership in identifying organic growth opportunities within existing accounts.

Project & Team Leadership

Oversee day‑to‑day workflow across integrated communications programs, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and alignment to strategy.
Lead internal project planning, including briefing teams, developing timelines, assigning responsibilities, and managing cross‑functional collaboration.
Provide guidance, coaching, and quality control for junior team members, helping to grow their capabilities.
Collaborate seamlessly with agency and third-party partners to deliver integrated work.

Media Relations & Thought Leadership

Develop Earned+ strategies in collaboration with senior team members, using consumer insight and cultural trends to shape recommendations.
Own drafting and refinement of media materials, including pitches, press releases, key messaging, spokesperson briefing books, and Q&As.
Lead media outreach plans and oversee tactical execution to secure meaningful, high‑quality coverage.
Cultivate relationships with key reporters and identify opportunities for clients to join or shape cultural conversations.
Monitor news cycles and industry trends, proactively spotting opportunities and flagging emerging topics for clients.

Influencer, Creator & Content Program Leadership

Oversee influencer and creator program development, including partner selection, contracting, briefing, content review, and performance measurement.
Evaluate influencer fit based on audience insights, content quality, brand alignment, and business needs.
Oversee briefing sessions, providing clear creative direction and ensuring deliverables align with strategy.
Manage content review cycles, offering actionable feedback, ensuring accuracy, and collaborating with partners and internal teams to finalize outputs.
Support development of owned content, including storytelling concepts, scripts, social copy, and editorial frameworks.

Emerging Skills & Innovation:

At Veritas, we embrace the tools shaping the future of communication. You don’t need to be an engineer but you do need to be curious, responsible, and excited about the role technology plays in modern PR. We expect all team members to continually build AI fluency and use these technologies in their day to day tasks. Training and access to our suite of AI tools is provided to all employees.

AI & Large Language Model (LLM) Fluency

Use AI tools to enhance research, draft materials, analyze data, and identify trends.
Understand best practices and ethical guidelines for responsible use of AI tools, applying critical thinking and human judgement to every AI-generated output.
Explore emerging tools and make recommendations to improve workflow efficiency and creative output.

Digital & Social Intelligence

Stay ahead of cultural shifts, platform evolutions, emerging formats, and best practices across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and more.
Evaluate creator and community behaviour to inform integrated content strategies.
Bring digital insights to brainstorms, strategy decks, and proactive client recommendations.

Benefits

What To Expect From Us:

At Veritas, we believe people do their best work when they feel supported, valued, and empowered to grow. Our benefits are designed to champion your wellbeing, fuel your curiosity, and help you build a career with impact.

Wellbeing & Lifestyle

Comprehensive health and dental coverage to support your physical and mental wellness.
Generous paid time off including vacation, personal days, and a winter holiday office closure so you can recharge.
Hybrid work model designed for connection and flexibility with two-days dedicated in office and three-days at your Manager’s discretion. Note that all new hires are required to be in-office three-days per week for the first 90-days.
Remote work option offered to employees after 6-months that supports where, and how, you do your best thinking.

Growth & Development

Access to mentorship and leadership development programs, through our unique Professional Coaching program, helping you build craft and confidence, and continue to progress in your career.
Regular training on emerging tools and technologies, including AI literacy sessions and ethical best‑practice workshops.

Culture & Community

A team that leads with empathy, creativity, and curiosity, and celebrates wins together.
Agency-wide events, social activities, and volunteer opportunities that keep us connected and inspired.

Perks That Matter

Mobile phone and home internet support to keep you equipped.
Discretionary days every long weekend between May and October for additional down-time (because balance matters).
Access to innovative tools and platforms that help you work smarter, not harder.
