Original job description

Ready to take your parts leadership experience beyond a single branch?

Vermeer Canada is looking for a District Parts Manager to lead and strengthen parts operations across multiple locations.

This is an opportunity for an experienced parts or operations leader who enjoys building strong teams, improving the way work gets done, and using data to drive better business results. You’ll bring consistency and alignment across our branches while helping our teams deliver the parts availability and service our customers count on.

At Vermeer Canada, we’ve been helping customers build sustainable and responsible communities since 2000. We’re a family-oriented organization with a passion for the Vermeer brand, our customers, and creating an environment where our people can do meaningful work and be themselves.

What You'll Make Happen

As our District Parts Manager, you’ll provide leadership and operational direction across multiple branches, partnering with parts, service, sales, procurement, inventory, finance, and regional leadership.

  • Build strong teams. Coach, develop, and engage team members through training and development opportunities.
  • Drive performance. Establish and monitor KPIs, review P&L performance, and turn operational and financial data into practical action.
  • Strengthen our parts operations. Support effective inventory management, purchasing, warehousing, order fulfillment, returns, cores, and inventory controls.
  • Create consistency across branches. Help teams strengthen processes and execute company standards across locations.
  • Support profitable growth. Participate in budgeting, sales projections, margin management, and operational planning.
  • Build strong partnerships. Develop supplier relationships and work collaboratively across functions to support our customers and branches.
  • Keep safety front and centre. Support clean, organized, safe facilities and ensure company policies and health and safety requirements are followed.
  • Support the customer experience. Help our branches deliver dependable parts availability and service that contributes to customer uptime.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who combines strong operational knowledge with strong people leadership.

You’ll be a great fit if you bring:

  • Progressive experience in parts operations, inventory, distribution, or a related heavy equipment, agriculture, construction, industrial, or dealership environment
  • Experience leading people and improving team performance
  • Multi-branch or multi-location experience is an asset
  • Strong inventory management and operational knowledge
  • Business and financial acumen, including experience working with P&Ls, budgets, margins, expenses, inventory investment, and KPIs
  • The ability to dig into data, identify trends and root causes, and turn what you find into action
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, especially when working across multiple teams and locations
  • Experience with Microsoft 365; exposure to dealer management, inventory, CRM, or business intelligence systems is an asset
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel regularly throughout the district

Why This Role? This isn't just about managing parts inventory. It's about building stronger teams, stronger operations, and a more consistent customer experience across the district. If you’re a hands-on leader who understands the parts business, sees opportunities others might miss, and enjoys helping teams perform at their best, we’d like to hear from you.

Ready to grow with us? Apply today and help shape the future of parts operations at Vermeer Canada.

Regular district travel to Grande Prairie, Acheson, and Saskatoon is required.
