Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineering Senior Engineer to join a dynamic Agile team responsible for designing, developing, and supporting a next-generation Telemetry & Observability Platform (TOP). This enterprise platform provides diagnostic, software health, and operational insights by integrating vehicle telemetry, engineering data, manufacturing information, service records, and software lifecycle signals.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud-native application development, Java/Spring Boot, GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, and API development, with experience building scalable, secure, and highly available enterprise solutions.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative connected vehicle technologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams across engineering, architecture, operations, and product management.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native applications and platform services.
Develop scalable REST APIs, backend services, and event-driven workflows.
Build integrations with enterprise data sources, telemetry systems, and diagnostic platforms.
Support data ingestion, validation, normalization, storage, and retrieval processes.
Develop and enhance web-based applications, dashboards, and user-facing platform capabilities.
Implement observability solutions including logging, metrics, monitoring, distributed tracing, and alerting.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices.
Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
Support CI/CD pipelines and containerized application deployments.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA teams, and operations teams throughout the SDLC.
Troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics, traces, and debugging tools.
Contribute to technical documentation, architectural designs, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
Follow Agile development practices including sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and demonstrations.
Implement secure development practices, authentication, authorization, and role-based access control.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of software development experience.
Strong programming experience with Java and Spring Boot.
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
Strong understanding of cloud-native application architecture.
Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
Solid SQL and relational database experience.
Experience with Git/GitHub version control and code review processes.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience with automated testing frameworks and methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment.

Experience with React and modern front-end development.
Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code tools.
Knowledge of Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Cloud SQL.
Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous messaging systems.
Experience implementing observability platforms using logs, metrics, dashboards, and tracing.
Familiarity with OpenTelemetry or similar observability tools.
Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
Experience integrating AI/ML services and APIs.
Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, LLM orchestration, and AI evaluation frameworks.
Experience with telemetry, connected vehicle platforms, diagnostics, or automotive systems.
Knowledge of CAN, UDS, DTCs, or DoIP is a plus.
Experience with data modeling and data engineering concepts.
