Avionics / Electrical Engineer

Role Summary
We are seeking an Avionics / Electrical Engineer to join a leading aerospace engineering and aircraft certification organisation in Montreal. The successful candidate will support aircraft modification, integration, and certification programmes across fixed-wing and rotary-wing platforms, delivering compliant and high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and integrate aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
- Produce wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, installation drawings, and certification reports.
- Support STC, aircraft modification, and interior completion projects.
- Perform electrical load analysis, compliance assessments, and system integration studies.
- Ensure compliance with Transport Canada, FAA, and EASA regulations.
- Support aircraft testing, troubleshooting, validation, and certification activities.
- Liaise with customers, OEMs, operators, and regulatory authorities.
- Provide technical support to production, installation, and maintenance teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of aerospace engineering experience in avionics, electrical systems, or aircraft modifications.
- Experience producing aircraft electrical design documentation and installation drawings.
- Strong understanding of aircraft electrical systems, avionics architecture, and wiring installations.
- Knowledge of Transport Canada, FAA, and/or EASA certification requirements.
- Experience using electrical design and CAD software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- P.Eng. designation or working towards certification.
- Experience supporting STC development and aircraft certification programmes.
- Knowledge of EWIS requirements and electrical load analysis.
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, CATIA, or similar tools.
- Business aviation, regional aircraft, or helicopter modification experience.
- English/French bilingual skills.
