The role

We are seeking an Advisor, Public Opinion and Analytics to support the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data aimed at better understanding the perceptions, expectations, needs, and concerns of various audiences.

Reporting to the Manager, Market and Data Intelligence, the Advisor will play a key role in developing strategic insights that support data-driven decision making across the organization. This role will contribute to the full research cycle, from designing data collection tools and methodologies to analyzing results, developing recommendations, and communicating key findings to internal stakeholders.

The person in this role will contribute to the analysis of surveys, quantitative and qualitative research initiatives, digital engagement activities, and data gathered from multiple sources. They will be responsible for transforming complex data into clear, relevant, and actionable insights for a variety of audiences.

We are looking for an analytical, curious, and detail-oriented individual with strong critical thinking and synthesis skills, as well as a keen interest in understanding audience behaviours, attitudes, and opinions.

The responsabilities

Research and Data Management

Participate in the design, deployment, and coordination of quantitative and qualitative research initiatives.
Develop and review questionnaires, discussion guides, and other data collection tools.
Monitor data collection activities carried out by external suppliers and partners, ensuring compliance with methodological quality standards and established processes.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of research projects.
Develop, structure, and continuously improve the databases, processes, and tools required for the collection, organization, and use of research and public opinion data.
Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of data governance practices related to public opinion intelligence.

Analytics and Public Opinion

Analyze quantitative and qualitative data from various sources to identify trends, perceptions, concerns, and audience expectations.
Recommend relevant demographic, geographic, behavioural, and attitudinal segmentation approaches.
Interpret research findings and highlight key insights, opportunities, risks, and emerging issues.
Ensure the quality, integrity, and consistency of data used in analyses.
Develop analytical approaches that enhance audience understanding and support informed decision making.

Data Visualization and Strategic Support

Design and maintain dashboards and data visualization tools.
Prepare reports, presentations, and executive summaries for a variety of audiences, including senior leadership.
Translate complex analyses into clear and actionable information for project teams and decision makers.
Develop data-driven recommendations to support engagement, communications, and project development strategies.

The requirements

University degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Social Sciences, Political Science, Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, Business Intelligence, or a related discipline.
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in data analytics, research, market intelligence, public opinion research, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
Experience designing and/or analyzing surveys, market research studies, consultations, or applied research projects.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, R, Python, or equivalent platforms.
Experience developing dashboards, executive presentations, and analytical reports.
Excellent ability to interpret data and formulate strategic recommendations.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely.
Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical rigor, and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in both official languages (French and English), with professional proficiency in one language and functional proficiency in the other, both orally and in writing.
