SAP MDM/MM Systems Analyst

The SAP MDM/MM Systems Analyst is responsible for strengthening material master data governance, ensuring data quality and consistency, and supporting SAP Materials Management (MM) functionality within SAP S/4HANA. This role works cross-functionally to establish data standards and controls, optimize and automate business processes, support system configuration and enhancements, and contribute to data migration, system upgrades, and SAP implementation projects. This position reports to the Director, Business Information Systems.

This position offers flexibility to be based at any of Vicwest’s locations, including our production sites in Stratford, Ontario; Victoriaville, Quebec; or Acheson, Alberta, as well as our corporate head office in Burlington, Ontario.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Master Data Governance & Quality: Maintain and govern material and vendor master data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, consistency, and adherence to established standards, controls, and data lifecycle requirements.
2. SAP MM Systems Support & Optimization: Support SAP MM configuration, testing, enhancements, and data migration while identifying opportunities to standardize, simplify, and automate processes.
3. Business Partnership & Project Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate operational requirements into effective SAP solutions and support system upgrades, implementations, rollouts, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Major Responsibilities

• Maintain and govern SAP master data (materials, vendors, purchasing records)
• Support MM module configuration, testing and enhancements
• Material Master, material governance, Vendor Master, records, creation, updates and maintenance
• Configuring SAP modules (primarily Material Management), data migration
• Data quality initiatives, audits and process improvements
• Establishing clear ownership, standards and controls for material master data
• Improve data accuracy, completeness, consistency and lifecycle management across SAP S/4HANA
• Partner with business functions to translate operational requirements into SAP MM/MDM processes and solutions
• Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, standardize and automate processes
• Participate in SAP projects, upgrades and rollouts

Qualifications & Education

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• 3-5 year of hands-on functional support experience with SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM) and Master Data Management (MDM/MDG)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Material Planning, Inventory Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Production Planning, or similar activities, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM), including Fiori apps, with cross module integration experience (FI, SD, PP, PM) and involvement in testing, release and cutover activities
• Solid understanding of material planning, inventory management, Safety Stock, forecasting, and Material Master data
• Manufacturing & Supply Chain Acumen: Deep familiarity with plant operations, material flows, bill of materials (BOMs), inventory controls and demand planning
• Demonstrated experience owning deliverables through design, configuration, testing and documentation
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Certifications: SAP certification and/or PMP certification are considered assets
